Remarkable Women in Transport 2022

Meet the Remarkable Women Electrifying Mobility 2022! We are celebrating the successes and accomplishments of these women who have been working hard to transform transportation. This publication serves to honor them and their work toward decarbonizing transport through e-mobility and support their mentorship of the next women leaders.

Women may comprise more than half the global population, but in some industries, including the transport sector and automotive industry, they’re still under-represented. We want to change that and want to highlight the remarkable ambitions of women decarbonizing transport through the promotion of electric mobility!

E-mobility is currently experiencing momentum: A few months ago, the COP26 placed Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV) at the center of the discussion on how to combat climate change, particularly highlighting the role of e-mobility. The transport and automotive sectors are clearly in a transformational phase. The innovation and movement brought about by this change also offer the opportunity to overcome homogeneity and male overrepresentation of the sectors. Within the framework of the necessary trainings and restructuring processes (digital traffic control, bus driver trainings, mechanic trainings) women should be particularly addressed and included, to increase diversity and innovation in these professions.

We are proud to present our 15 Electric Women as pioneers of the transformation!
